The Age of Video Athletics®
Self-Interview # 1
Dennis: So you have started another blog here at videoathlete.wordpress.com?
Amadeus: Yes, this is where my heart is. How fun to think of the ultimate vision, or goal, of using space for the function to create sporting entertainment. I see the MuseumMileTM Plan implemented. Mayor Cieslewicz and all the names you can imagine are having fun and fulfillment in developing the various ideas in the plan. Now its time for us to talk about that grand old idea we had back in 1982, the same time we started the marketing plan known as Madison’s Museum MileTM. And that idea is the American Video Athletic® Association.
Dennis: Exciting! I can’t wait, where do we start?
Amadeus: The acronym for the American Video Athletic® Association is AVAA but it is pronounced with a spiritual bent, ah-vah. For some reason I view the vowel “ah” and it’s many varieties as being deeply embedded in the human psyche. So Dennis, whenever you see the letters AVAA feel the pronunciation of ahvah, and note you don’t really need the hyphen between the ‘h’ and the ‘v’.
Dennis: Ok, I understand. Are you the Commissioner of AVAA?
Amadeus: I am the “Starchitect”, or inventor of the plan. I see Russ Feingold the Commissioner, or maybe even the Chair of the Department of SportTM
Dennis: The Plan?
Amadeus: We can give it all sorts of names over the course of these interviews, but the one I like best is simply called the “Make Sport Not WarTM Invention“. To invent something is to plan for its implementation so using the word “plan” is perfect in this discussion.
Dennis: I like that, “Make Sport Not WarTM“. It reminds me of the 60’s slogan Make Love Not War.
Amadeus: Here in Madison Wisconsin we see Shakti Bookstore on State Street selling Make Art Not WarTM bumper stickers. I am sure there are lots of gimmicks around that famous 60’s slogan.
Dennis: Can you make “love”?
Amadeus: Love is just this wonderful reality that we are born in and of. Depending on what our beliefs allow, our perceptions can feel this love. Great spiritual Avatars like Mike Dooley, Marianne Williamson, Owen Waters, Dr. Wayne Dyer and many others are around to explain this reality much better then myself. Especially these days, people are channels, using and entering this dimension, in perhaps record numbers.
Now what the 60’s slogan was doing of course is putting forth Dr. Wilhelm Reich’s book, The Sexual Revolution, by making the term “love” synonymous with the word “sex”.
Dennis: Dr. Wilhelm Reich? He wrote the book The Sexual Revolution?
Amadeus: Yes he did, along with a lot of other books on human sexuality. The Age of Video Athletics, or TAO-VA, is dedicated to Dr. Reich. If I had just one goal in my life it is to tell the world the story of Dr. Reich but with a really positive spin. So Dennis, you can expect these interviews to talk more about Dr. Reich.
Dennis: Briefly, who was Dr. Reich?
Amadeus: Remember Sigmund Freud and his “libido” theory?
Dennis: Sure, who doesn’t?
Amadeus: Wilhelm Reich was Freud’s number one student, and he evolved the libido theory into the science of Orgonomy. That’s enough for now.
Dennis: Let me get back to the Make Sport Not WarTM Invention. Can you give a simple synopsis statement of the plan?
Amadeus: Sure. Let’s use the number three. First, we create a Game With Video GamesTM and call that game the VALGAMETM. Next, we create Electronic Ball ParksTM, Good Sport Space StationsTM, and professional video game players, or Video Athletes®. Finally, we rotate the Military Industrial Complex into a Technological Sporting Complex using the previous two points.
Dennis: Sounds Fun!
